@ela what typa fermented foods?
-
@Liverlover anything really, I think high meat would work well but anything will work
@ela Yeah I gave them some high liver yesterday and they got like hyperactive and shit. They def got high from it lol. It’s also good for their gut health. Do you give them fermented dairy too? I don’t know if I can bc birds obviously don’t get milk naturally.

@ela damn how do you make a maggot farm? Sounds like smth from minecraft lol
@Liverlover Its pretty simple to make, you can just look up a good tutorial on youtube.Its simply just old food scraps in a bucket, and then some flies have to lay eggs there.

@PrimalFinngolian I’ve had a chicken be eaten alive by maggots from the inside. That won’t happen right

If you have chickens give them a piece of liver, brain, bone marrow, minced red meat,… when you’re eating. I swear they will start looking super healthy and having tons of energy running around. Make sure you give all chickens an equal amount cuz these unbrainwashed birds they will fight for these kinds of foods. Usually the dominant chicken will try to get everything. So yeah they hunt for insects in the forest and garden and chill if they want to obviously. I give them spring water and then some raw primal foods. These eggs are so good with a deep orange yolk better than any egg I have found.
@Liverlover how old do the chickens have to be to eat meat

@Liverlover It should't happen if you just feed them maggots from what i know

If you want to look more into building the farm, this "Matty's Backyard" guy got a pretty simple tutorial on Youtube,which he made 4 years ago.I have even seen some people automate the maggot farm, so that the maggots automatically drop into the chicken coop by a pvc pipe lol

@skibidiqueenfrk Mine are pretty young. I think you can from day one. Naturally the parents would feed the chicks insects and worms from the beginning which is basically meat.
