No one should go on a diet consisting of that much sugars.
@Hunterskull if the sugars are from natural, raw sources like honey or maple syrup, is that alright? I consume probably a fourth cup of the two combined total per day

@mole you should consume only unripe fruit and with raw fat on the side with the same amount. Sugar especially from fruits is very bad.

@mole 90% of the sugar in honey which is truly unheated converts into enzymes which makes it a low sugar food. Meanwhile maple syrup is cooked sugar so you should never consume it

The honey is definitely proper. It's unheated, untreated, unfiltered, and local. Also addicting
Thanks for teaching me that about maple syrup. I know about Aajonus' silverback story to know ripe fruit can be harmful. But I'm failing to see how honey even though 10% sugars doesn't have a similar effect after >1/4th cups of it a day...
I should probably tone it down

@mole if youre craving it its fine yoi can binge because your body wants the enzymes in it ofc nit everyday but for now Binge on it no problem. At some point you will get over it once your body has enough enzymes

@Klaudio_Bosi yah I've been putting down blocks of raw cheddar or gouda alongside it. As a fresh convert I'm just gonna let my appetite run the show for a bit

ahgghghghgh helppp i searched up ray peat edit on tiktok and now im tempted to sugarmaxx but if i sugarmaxx then the primal diet wont work and my fat AND carbs will both be way too high and if theyre both high then something bad will happen bc idk i feel it in my bones

@mole
Yeah. Unheated honey is 90% enzymes and 10% sugars and its good to consume. Don't consume it in the first 6 hours of the day tho.
@Hunterskull why not consume it in the first 6 hours of the day?

@Hunterskull b-but faceiq said it raises my cortisol or something and its bad because stress or cortisol spike or something
@TrenAndTartare Stop Jestering bro, sugar is actually good for you.. especially natural, non gmo tropical fruits eaten in the center of the equator.
If you were living in Thailand and eating raw meat, raw butter, eggs, a mango, some oranges, lychee & some coconut water.. thats not a bad day of living..
But the Copers that don't live in the best part of the world to eat alot of fruit, ofcourse the ray peat sugar diet is shit. They can't metabolize it and it's flown in. It's not seasonal
(I think peat overdoes it on fruit/carbs for sure but I think FaceIQ is right on getting more than 1 fruit a day as aajonus suggests. Most people feel their best on 100-200 grams of carbs per day (particularly from fruit), especially in the tropics).
If FaceIQ ate raw liver, His diet would be a 9/10. He has a pretty sustainable, long term way of eating (even with the dark chocolate which I agree with peat on) and would be more sustainable with raw liver.
please go back to well informed non jester topics, that's your bread & butter.

The body makes glycogen for the whole day from proteins in the first 6 hours after waking. This is needed for brain activity.
If you eat carbs during that time, it will interfere with that process the whole day.
@Hunterskull okay but that process is gluconeogenesis which is highly stressful
