From natures perspective: We would fast quite often. The weakest hunters would fast or "starve" quite often, however even the best hunters would fast as there is no chance there is a hunter Good enough to never go hungry. He's going to slip up and starve/fast
So from natures perspective if our ancestors would go through short periods without eating shouldn't we fast ourselves to replicate that?
Conclusion: We are not hunting our food so we just eat until we are satiated everyday. No one here really works for their food & we never goes hungry.
I'm not saying fast every week, maybe once every month.
Thoughts?

replicating that may be not the best idea since back then, hunters also moved while starving (track animals and hunt when they find them), replicating movement on a fast carries high risk since modern humans are not as endure as humans back then were. Can you evaluate on ''No one here really works for their food''.

@Alexander People getting a desk job, walking about 2-3000 steps a day & getting a steak from the supermarket on the way home
As opposed to tracking animals and walking for 4-6 hours a day
We see it all the time in zoo's where some animals may liver longer than they would in the wild but quality of life goes down as they are sedentary. not working/hunting for their food. They never go hungry like the same animals in the wild.
same with us. I just feel as though the fasting aspect could balance this out.

@Jay In my opinion, a job is the last thing that a human should do- its pure slavery. Fasting will not help knowing that we spent hours working like slaves, reminding that the quality of the food (for hunters back then was excellent because they had fresh and non-stimulated animal to eat)today is bad. Only some individuals actually eat regularly meat (supermarket meat) and on daily basis they eat pasta or bread which is slave food, so i think that we should firstly change what we consume (cuz steak gives energy but has low nutrition), and then focus if we are supposed to starve.

Be realistic. what are you going to do go on welfare and live at your parents for 30 years or actually make the system work for you, get an easy high paying job and afford the best cuts of meat imaginable.
Bottom line, I just think fasting is a good reset cause your body goes into autophagy and kills cells. Killing toxic cells in your body doesnt sound bad does it? and iv'e been in autophagy. it's calming

@Jay I absolutely agree, when i get the chance , i will try to live like natural hunter-gatherer , from old times because I think that Everyone needs to also experience what they think they want to do. Maybe I will definitely try to be like Theodore Kaczynski cuz i still cannot akcept society and work

I agree. when you go long amounts of time with out eating your body goes in to a ketogenic state where your metabolism slows down and your primary fuel source switches to fats instead of carbs. This is great for thyroid health and cardiovascular health, and I even believe hgh is released to but I could be wrong. But this only occurs typically 12 ish hours in to fasting so I supouse a short fast wouldnt replicate these results but you haven’t quite specified.
