Delayed puberty

Is delayed puberty a fault of improper external influence like lifestyle and diet or just genetics?
For context as a kid I used to eat the normie “healthy” diet mainly things like bread, oats, eggs, (pasteurized) dairy and a lot of fruit and vegetables but almost never ultra-processed. My mom also had late puberty, but I’m wondering if it’s something I got from her or what.
Also which is better, early puberty or delayed puberty? Or no difference

Its 100% diet and lifestyle
Hormones are primarily built from animal fats with usable proteins as its structural base.
The normie diet you had lacked in usable animal fats and your mother had the same dietary problem.
Genetics aren't involved here.
