Why calories dont exist?

The primal + carnivore community say they don't exist but why? it's just a way to determine how much we need for our goals

@TurkeyTwizzlers Basically calories is not something that exists objectively but its theoretical framework on the energy the food will give to the person. But calories are calculated using machines and not humans. Very different.
Different people digest food differently so the energy the calories give differ. All foods digest little bit differently.
Calories is okay way to give some measurement for the masses how much energy the food has but for the truly dedicated health enthusiasts its insufficient as it doesn't match the objective reality. Reality is more complex.

@88 They sure can be measured if you are trying to lose weight & are calculating how many you need below your basic metabolic rate to lose weight. Quite a clever tool wouldn't you say (even if somewhat inaccurate)
@TurkeyTwizzlers calories are extremely inaccurate. Calories are also counted, taking for granted that you digest 100% of the food (you don't) and that you are a closed thermodynamic engine (you're not). Obviously you will lose/gain weight if you eat less/more food.
