    Aajonus vonderplanitz believed what most people call being sick, is usually just the body detoxing and repairing itself. So if you've got a fever, runny nose, diarrhea, acne breakouts, coughing mucus etc., he'd say your body is trying to get rid of waste, not that it's failing.
    The only times he really separated it was if you've been poisoned, injured, or are severely nutrient deficient. In those cases, the injury or poison is the problem, but the fever, mucus, skin breakouts and all that are still the body's attempt to heal.

    Detox:

    • Body is eliminating stuff (mucus, sweat, diarrhea, skin eruptions)
    • Usually happens after getting enough nutrition
    • Temporary, then you recover

    "Sickness":

    • Mostly just a label modern medicine gives to detox.
    • The real cause is toxicity, poor nutrition or physical damage, not the symptoms themselves.

    ELI5: If your body's throwing things out instead of keeping them in, you're probably detoxing.
