  • Budget diet as a college student
    G georgeprimaӏ

@Rabbi Thanks for your reply. I can get liver and raw milk pretty cheaply, so I can eat lots of that. However, drinking large amounts of milk wouldn't be ideal due to the lactose, right? (I come from a typical standard western diet, so I'm still trying to fix my acne and bloating, etc., maybe carbs will slow down my recovery and cause breakouts/bloating.)

  • Ketosis yes or no?
    G georgeprimaӏ

Should I avoid eating large amounts of carbs (raw milk/fruits) due to bloating, insulin spike from lactose, glucose, fructose, etc., and 1 g of crab holds 3 g of water weight? Also, would a non-ketogenic diet inhibit autophagy, insisting that ketosis would be the most disease-preventing state for the human body?

@Swansven Thanks for your reply. I am 19, so not really in development; however, I think I could benefit from it since it's a good source of raw animal fats and protein, and I can get raw milk pretty cheaply. I agree with you that ketosis would be best for disease prevention, but long-term ketosis can have some negative effects. I think when our ancestors ate their natural diet, they would eat a large amount of meat when they would hunt an animal, the large amount of protein would also kick the body out of ketosis for a short period.

@Jack Thanks for your reply, yes, I'm new to this diet, slowly transitioning from animal-based/carnivore. Definitely willing to pay more for high-quality food for health, etc., just harder due to low income. I know degrees are pretty useless and stuff, but my parents kinda force me to study. I argue with them all the time about it, but whatever, at least I study a topic I really enjoy learning about. For the maximum health, unemployment would be the best (ironically), but with the food costs, etc., you'll need some way to get money to live comfortablely.

  • Eating something you dont like even though its healthy
    G georgeprimaӏ

What are your thoughts about eating something healthy, but you don't like to eat?
For many people, eating raw liver doesn't taste good due to the taste or texture. It would be against your instinct to eat it, even though subconsiously you know it's healthy.
