With a fully ripe coconut (brown, hard shell) there are many uses for it. It is one of the most versatile non-animal foods!
COCONUT WATER:
The water inside of coconuts can be great for hydration, I personally found the taste to not be that great but I don’t think it was bad. I’d only drink coconut water if I got it from my own coconut - instead of buying it pre-bottled.COCONUT FLESH:
The flesh is edible straight out of the shell, however it might be tough to digest because of how fibrous it is.COCONUT “CREAM” (NO JUICER)
You can make your own coconut cream without a juicer by simply removing the hard outer shell and then removing the brown skin on the flesh, then let it sit in the fridge. The part of the coconut where the skin would be protecting it will start to soften after about a day. Scrape off the soft part and leave it in the fridge and wait for it to soften again.COCONUT CREAM (JUICER)
Take your coconut flesh, remove all brown outer skins/layers and run it through a high quality juicer and you now have coconut creamSKINCARE
Both of the ways mentioned to create coconut cream will be very good on your skin. They will hydrate your skin and create a sort of glowy effect.
I imagine it would work well as a sunscreen and even after-care for sun burns.
Adding coconut cream to your hot baths will do wonders for the skin as well. This is something i definitely recommend to those who take hot baths regularly!HAIRCARE + SHAVING
Aajonus said he sometimes uses a fermented coconut cream and water mixture as a shampoo. He let’s the coconut cream ferment for about a week, then mixes it with water (1 ounce of coconut cream to 8 ounces of water)
Coconut cream can also be used as a shaving cream to produce a smooth shave.
I have not tried any of these so I won’t be able to give any personal experience, but I believe they would work very well.DENTAL CARE:
