Should i wear my retainer? my lower jaw is already crowding due to malnutrition, my teeth aren't even symmetrical and wearing the retainer wouldn't make it symmetrical. Would following the primal diet create the space needed and the teeth align themselves? sorry im tired if it doesn't make sense

@elliott88 If you wear the retainer your tongue won’t be able to expand your palate. It’s like a cope device that you have to wear your entire life. You need myofunctional excercises but it also requires your whole body to be aligned.

I was also thinking about the same since I also got braces and I wear this tiny metal layer behind my front teeth and a retainer every week or so.

I feel like though If you are young enough, below 25 or so, and detox fairly well after a year or 2 it sounds plausible to be able to take it off, if you notice changes in your actual jaw from the nutrition.

@elliott88 I’m not sure. I think that the mandible widens if the maxilla does.

@liverman12 A few months ago. The goal is basically to restore the normal functions of your tongue like resting position and swallow pattern. Unlike what most people think that you just have to mew and that it’s just a matter of paying attention to it, it doesn’t work like that. Just like posture it’s a muscle imbalance built over years so no matter how much you think to sit straight you will always revert back. Posture is not just forward head or rounded shoulders. It starts at your feet and ends in your tongue and neck. So to fix the imbalance you have to train the entire chain of weakened muscles. And as we know the tongue resting correctly is what drives facial development.

@foidkiller1488 It’s a combination bro. They go hand in hand. If you got breastfed long enough you’re tongue will be strong enough from swallowing and chewing hard food strengtens the tongue as well. No amount of raw meat will save a child if they don’t have good oral posture (which is influenced by body posture). All attractive people had good posture during development. You can also tell by the way someone walks. Sometimes their posture got worse after development but you can see the remains.

@Bert did they have a good face and good posture because they had good nutrition? Or do they have a good face from posture?

Aajonus said bad posture is caused by malnutrition and toxins.

The tongue stuff is not true, because if the palate didn’t expand (from nutrients) the tongue wouldn’t have space to sit there. It’s the symptoms not the cause

@foidkiller1488 Well aajonus wasn’t right about everything bro. Bad posture is caused by muscle imbalance which is caused by chairs and modern footwear. Has nothing to do with nutrition. How will bad food cause your glutes to become weak and hip flexors tight? Obviously from sitting in chairs all day which basically turns off your glutes and keeping the hip flexors in a 90 degree angle will tighten them. The shoes will also ruin your natural foot functions and strength and the imbalance will translate up the chain since your feet are the base of your body.
