@ela Traveling can be nearly as cheap as the tickets. You should watch Solar Youth's video about traveling. He explains that you can get free housing and food in exchange for a bit of work on organic farms. You learn organic farming practices while enjoying the local atmosphere and organic food.
The plan I have for my life is to travel as much as possible and interact with as many people as I can on this journey. You can get cheap or free food everywhere you go if you travel with WWOOF. Once you've seen the world in your youth, you can decide where you want to be. I am thinking that Paraguay seems to be the best place from my research, but maybe I won't like it when I'm there.
You have to take into account that things might go south in the next few years. Stay away from aggressive and authoritative countries. You also have to consider air quality and pollution exposure. Where are the strictest laws on pesticides and other forms of pollution? You also have to consider how easy it is to gain citizenship. What does it require? This can eliminate many countries and allow you to narrow your targets onto what fits best to you.
Job-wise, I think the best job is working on an organic farm for food, housing, and a little money. When you are people like us, you don't feel the need to spend all of your money. You may be able to accumulate a lot of savings over a long period of time. I think something financially catastrophic will happen soon, so being grounded in having food incredibly accessible is a good idea. There's many aspects of saving money for your ultimate final goals in life. My later life plan is to buy a decent amount of land in Paraguay and move into a cheap pre-built home and live mostly outside with the love of my life. Naturally children may come, and I'll have to figure out something to sustain them. Living naturally brings low costs, though, so it probably won't be too grueling.
