Hi, this is my first time posting here. I want to share a simple account of how eating raw foods changed my mind and my body.

I’ll start by talking a little about myself. I’m Brazilian, diagnosed with level 1 autism and severe ADHD. I couldn’t even look people in the eye properly, and I’ve had intense brain fog since I was 13 years old.

During my childhood and teenage years, I barely ate any meat, mostly just carbohydrates, around 4 loaves of bread a day.

I tried everything: psychiatrists, psychologists, and many different approaches to try to solve my problems. They would help temporarily, but I could never stay on medication for more than three months. The side effects were very strong and often made my depression worse.

About three months ago, I discovered the raw food diet. For the first month, I tried to adapt but didn’t have the courage to fully commit. I was only drinking raw milk and eating raw honey.

After about 10 days, I started noticing interesting benefits, more emotional control and waking up with real energy. During that time, I was taking Vyvanse. The effect usually lasted about 6 hours.

Then I started to find it strange because the effect wasn’t wearing off, even after 14 hours or more, and I still wasn’t fully following the diet.

So I decided to stop taking Vyvanse, and the positive effects continued. That’s when I realized it wasn’t the Vyvanse, it was the diet.

After that, I went all in and started following the raw primal diet strictly.

At the beginning, I vomited and had a lot of diarrhea, especially after eating raw liver. Strangely, after the diarrhea and vomiting, I felt an intense sense of calm, as if my body was functioning extremely well.

Now, two months into the raw primal diet, I no longer have social anxiety. I can start and finish tasks. My mind has changed in a very strong way.

I’ve felt motivated to simply live.

Extra: I used to have many digestive problems and hemorrhoids, and those are gone too.
I used AI to translate my text from Portuguese to English, so sorry if it sounds a bit weird.

@rabbi That’s great to hear. I had just read your post about your story, and it motivated me to tell mine lol.
It’s a shame that so many people don’t know about the benefits of this diet.
