What do you guys think about religion?
-
@Rabbi no, this verse says that God allowed us to eat all living creatures if they are dead, basically even God is anti vegan and created animals for us as a food (and for the ecosystem)
-
@nochik41 Oh yeah now I understood, of course it's like that, but also nothing limits eating a animal alive? I don't think there is anything bad about it inherently.
-
@nochik41 I mean no but I could lol and all animals do start eating before the animal is dead if they can.
-
@Rabbi because animals have no morals, we humans have more developed cognitive functions and there is no point in this, it is inconvenient and why deliberately torture animals when you should respect them and kill quickly

Something inside of me can’t let go of the thought of an higher being outside of this universe. A so called „God“.

@Erased I don’t think there is an existing “god”, I just don’t see how there could be a supernatural entity that could control all, seems like bunch of nonsense to me. I was never raised to be religious either so it’s hard for me to even try and believe in anything the church or any religious book says

@L204660 that’s an interesting point of view! I mean, I am raised in a russian orthodox household so the thought of a God never really leaves me. Just the fact that something so complex was just created either by nothing or was just always around feels a bit off.

@Rabbi Jesus ate raw meat, but vatican trying to hide it. Also, i like these verses: Genesis 9:2–4
“The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth... Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.” -

@love I believe this prohibition arose from associations with pagan idolatry and sacrifices. It was a temporary ban created by the apostles for missionary purposes against the pagans and it is not valid today but still some say that it is a sin, so im not really sure about it, if you drink blood, take it without pride atleast (doesnt mean you shouldnt be happy while consuming it tho)

@love The context is a little different,
Mark 7:15, Matthew 15:11, Romans 14:14-17 are good examples
God said It's perfectly fine to eat ANYTHING you want. Because it's not what you eat, but what comes from within you that defiles you.I mentioned earlier that I wasn't sure of the correct answer, as some denominations hold different opinions and i gave my answer from a catholic perspective.

Who Are The Aliens?; The History Of The Anunnaki - this sounds kind of far fetched and goofy if youve never heard of the Anunnaki or whatever, but he is simply comparing and deciphering the truth from the ancient Sumerian tablets with the old testament of the bible - he explains what it was based on the stories, and the "gods" inside it - lowkey clicked in my head instantly it was insane it fits perfectly with the history we are taught and the world we see today - if you have unanswered questions on the bibles origins and meanings and how and what made it turn into the manipulative book we have today then 1billion% check his episodes out gang
