@hello12345 Being against nose-picking is not neccesarily linked to the brainwashing modern society does to adults. It's not like how adults suddenly find tree climbing weird. For nose-picking, it's one of the few things where the truth is spoken about where as a kid you have an underdeveloped brain and you do this stuff as a kid because your brain isnt developed. So nose-picking is noy a primal instinct like many other things kids do.
@Hunterskull honestly, I still do it to get old crusty snot out. It's gotta be a detox of some kind

@hello12345 I believe the answer to your question is that humans, like animals, have an instinct to reclaim nutrients and minerals from their own tissues. Things like mucus, dead skin and nails contain substances the body recognizes, so children may naturally consume them as a way of recycling what belongs to their own body. Humans in nature would also eat the placenta after giving birth to a child in nature.
(I am not sure though if this is completely correct) -
I’ve seen cows lick the inside of their nose with their tongue so idk

What's os the purpose of kids constantly picking their nose and chewing their nails? These habits even carry into teenhood and adulthood but for what reason
@hello12345 It's simple really. Nails afford chewing, and a nose affords picking.
Your body is part of the environment you perceive and act upon. Your hands are in the visual field, you have constant haptic and proprioceptive information about your own surfaces, edges and apertures. So the child's body is itself a permanently available field of affordances.
A fingernail presents a graspable edge, which affords biting and pulling. A nostril is perfect for fitting a child's finger, and again, affords insertion. Dried mucus affords removal. An important part of this is the active exploration phase of perception. The organism moves, touches, mouths and manipulates to pick up information, and children are in an intense phase of exploratory learning. The mouth is one of the earliest perceptual organs. Infants quite literally explore objects by mouthing them before they explore them manually.
Nose picking and nail biting are exploratory behaviours turned on the self. The child is picking up information about the textures, boundaries and sensations of their own body.As for why these habits can carry into later phases of life is quite simple --- it brings them satisfaction.

@hello12345 Bc human meat and flesh is the most nutrient dense food on earth. In 5 being "primal" will mean being cannibalistic. Mark my words.
