Back in 1926 doctors George Minot and William Murphy discovered that eating large amounts of raw or lightly cooked beef liver could cure a 100% deadly disease (pernicious anemia).
it turned out beef liver is packed with what we now know as vitamin B12 (though they didn’t know that back then). They just knew “liver works.”
This breakthrough was so big that beef liver became a standard medical treatment, not just a food recommendation.
By 1934, Minot, Murphy, and George Whipple were awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine for the discovery of beef liver for the cure of this deadly disease.
They were also told to eat it raw or lightly cooked, about 200-400 grams per day.
People with this sickness that had essentially 100% death rate in 1-3 years miraciously become healthy in weeks.

Who knew that the food you eat matters more than stuffing isolated plant compounds down your neck?
