My iridology also confirms I have a black spot of mercury built up in my right neck and traps. It's becoming less black as I'm gaining more mobility and I'm detoxing a lot of bullshit through my nose and mouth. I was a singer for 7 years growing up so I'm pretty comfortable breathing from my diaphragm, I really don't think it's that

Having your knees bent while laying on your back helps access the diaphragm easier. The goal is to build a mind muscle connection so that you can conciously choose to breathe through the diaphragm. Gather mental cues on those videos. If you can’t have your neck and lower back flat on the ground (probably not bc you have tension) laty towels under them so these muscles can relax. Push your lowerback into the ground on inhale and keep shoulders relaxed. I exhale into balloons as well to train exhalation muscles.
When you do this regularly you will notice your diaphragm gets stronger and you’re baseline breathing will be deeper more relaxed bc it shifts more to the diaphragm which is how you’re supposed to breathe and away from chest breathing which is naturally only for fight or flight moments. You will sleep more deeply. It is also equally important to align your posture bc it is literally impossible to access your diaphragm if your core is weak, anterior pelvic tilt, rounded shoulders, forward head, duck feet etc.
Golden mental cue for me is “lengthen esophagus” for inhale which works bc the diaphragm has one hole which is for the esophagus.

I get it’s all religious belief for you at the moment and probably not appealing to do allat but I experienced nice benefits so do with it what you want.

I guess for @<bdi>ruskinprimal</bdi> it is a religious belief until he works on it and can also FEEL it. You’re gonna have to take my word for it but I have no reason to lie about this I only wanna help people with my experience in this.

To keep it simple fix posture from head to toe and start doing some breathing exercises to access your diaphragm and strengthen it overtime. It lowers your cortisol as well

Essentially it’s bc you are chest breathing which is a compensation strategy of the body for a weak diaphragm. Your ribcage should expand like a balloon 360 degrees but instead you just lift the whole thing up with your traps, SCM muscle and other muscles in the neck. There’s no quick fix bc everything is connected in the body. Scm pulls your head forward which breaks good tongue posture. Chest muscles are tight and weak core make put the diaphragm in a position which had so much resistance the body chose chest breathing and diaphragm weakened overtime. Thank sitting in chair all day and modern shoes mostly
