<![CDATA[flies and mosquitos on animals in nature]]>Are flies and mosquitos a natural bother to animals in nature or are they thriving because of man made changes?

i notice that flies and mosquitos are much less attracted to me but still see cows that eat grass that are bothered by flies all day.

does a natural cow or human experience such bothers?
