I have always disliked studying but saw it as a necessary step to become a doctor, something I have always wanted to be since I was twelve. I decided to try psychedelics for the first time with a friend and after that first experience I suddenly lost the desire to study medicine, go to school and even work. Why should I go study for 10 years just so I can start working until I am 70 years old to retire? Why should I spend energy on something that isn't going to make me feel happy? I realised the only reason why I ever wanted to be a doctor was to appease not want to go to university.ease my parents. My friend who goes to college almost has no time to hang out with me, other friends and even his family. Every time he's with me he keeps mentioning how he should've stayed home to study because he's afraid he'll fail the exams. He even cried a couple of days before his exams due to the stress. I told him that this was no way for a man to live and that getting a degree won't ever make him happy in life but he always says some red-pill David Goggins quote bullcrap. I tried convinving him, but to no avail.
