If anything there's more research on the opposite, that with the right freezing methods, you can retain basically all nutrient profile of the meat.

I linked a few sources above but it's all over the internet.

I'm no scientist or dietician but some of what I read on Aajonus.net and the forum sounds like a bunch of hooplah.

But there is not much proof that freezing meat removes 80% of nutrients. Aajonus just says things and people believe it. He never really proved this at all. I mean, didn't the Inuit freeze their meat?

I challenge anyone to reply to me with concrete proof that freezing meat destroys 80% of nutrients. because it's an absurd claim imo.

If you get fresh meat from a butcher and are able to vacuum seal and flash freeze then minimal harm is done.

I DNR this study but it seems to line up with the study I read the other day.

All in all, optimized freezing is at least better than cooked food and potentially as good as fresh meat.

If you freeze to 0F in less than 90 minutes then the nutrient loss is basically negligible. It's when the larger ice crystals form (after shit freezing) that break the nutrient. Something like this.

Also protein usability drops from nearly 100% to 25% with freezing.
