I am not a tooth doctor. I create appliances and prosthesis for people who have lost teeth. I recently began following the diet, but I have always eaten primarily meat since I was born never a steak cooked over rare. Same goes for my father, and my father's father. My dad was also a model in his youth for a large jean company, primarily due to the unstunted development of our diets. While of course not having been optimal, I have never needed dental work, nor have been to any doctor since I was 13.

You never start with 'crooked teeth' your jaw just didn't grow to the optimal size during development for your second set of teeth. You should get braces if your teeth didn't grow in right, nothing wrong with it. It is always better to appear as though you are an optimal human in order to find a mate anyways.

Your teeth shouldn't be crooked, and at this point it is impossible to be at the optimal state that you currently can achieve without dental work.
I not a speaker for the primal diet, only common sense and logic.

You're 20, and pretty much at your final stage of development, no expansion of the skull will take place. I am sorry. You cannot expand your palate without expensive, extensive, and invasive surgery. You can still be healthy. As long as your teeth still fit the retainer without immense pain, you should still be fine.

I do subscribe to the primal philosophy and diet.

I just recommend using your retainer. I do not want you to regret letting your teeth get to a state that would leave you worse-off in nature. And undesirable to a mate. Good luck.

i am wearing it every week since ive been wearing a retainer for 5 years, its also the same crusty see through one.

i did notice my teeth shifted a tiny bit since i dont fit perfecrly in the retainer, but everything still sedms good.

i just dont want to take new xrays and get my teeth cleaned so was thinking of going all natural.

i wonder if at 20 i can still expand and correct my pallette properly with nutrition

Your palate is not 'widening'. For your palate to 'widen' you would need an invasive appliance installed into your maxilla and for the dental surgeon to crack your maxilla in half down the median palatine suture. If you've ever heard of 'cleft-palate' This is all they do, just manually.
This of course does not apply if your skull is not fully developed. I never recommend any dental appliance unless you're fully developed. I couldn't tell you the optimal decision without knowing all the variables.

I couldn't tell you whether your teeth will move into an even more perfect position or if your canines will begin to rotate and face backwards. It's all very case by case basis. I will tell tell you that not using your retainer is going to guarantee your teeth will shift to the most efficient placement according to your occlusal contacts. Which most of the time will be suboptimal.

i wonder, wouldnt letting my pallete widen, wouldnt it widen my jaw?

also, do you have experiencd with someone or know if the teeth will go back to fully crooked, or perhaps better development if you are currnetly raw?

Due to your undeveloped, crowded jaw, your teeth will move to the optimal occlusal position. You cannot change how your bone structure has developed. The best thing you can do is wear your retainer and maintain the closest to 'ideal' anatomy.
I recommend getting a hard, non-resin acrylic 'nightguard'. I make these, but cannot make them for people without a script, so no I cannot make you one.
Think of a nightguard, not hard/soft just hard, as an advanced, expensive retainer. Retainers are not made with your occlusal plane or bruxing in mind. Nightguards are.

Either you stop the movement of your teeth back to their natural state now, or you just let it happen, but it naturally wouldn't happen if your jaw was developed.
Either way, its just your bone structure. In nature your teeth wouldn't be crowded, or else you wouldn't have as many teeth. Capiche?
